DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• To be actively involved in all proactive engineering initiatives across the terminal and work closely with engineers; assisting them in resolving engineering maintenance issues
• Is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all kinds of equipment like terminal-trucks, cranes, reach stackers etc.
• Have a very good knowledge and skills of hydraulic circuits trouble shooting, engine and transmission overhauling.
• Is responsible for the communication with operations in matters of malfunction of the port equipments
• Team working with a positive attitude & participates in continuous improvement activities
• Ensures terminal downtime is kept to a minimum and will be expected to be able to prioritize workloads and work under minimal supervision to help achieve the required production outputs
• Ensures an open communication and an open exchange of relevant information
• Is responsible for executing maintenance/ technical malfunction in a safe way
• Have internal relations with members of Engineering department and keep good communication channels with operations and other company departments
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• High school, technical Diploma or middle degree of mechanics.
• Minimum 8 years experience in a similar position
