Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Senior Specialist jobs at Olam May 2020

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining healthy & safe working environment in the plant.
• Managing the implementation of all corporate guidelines related to safety, health & environment
• Supervising activities that ensure legal compliance to local regulation in the field of HSE.
• Support & supervises the process of developing safety culture across the plant / operations
• Oversee team training on all aspects of safety & ensure skills development of team to meet the safety standards
• Ensure the development of systems & processes to continuously improve HSE practices.
• Directly support the Engineering & Projects Manager through provision of expertise and as a specialized resource
• Review all HSE related investigations to ensure true root cause has been identified.
• Lead environmental initiatives across the manufacturing facilities that impact positively on the corporate Sustainability commitments of energy, water and waste and ensure that all facilities comply with legal requirements for the discharge of waste and generation of emissions.
• Represent the business as appropriate in key forums and as the technical expert with relevant government authorities and interpret changes to their requirements
• Manage the plant QEHS program ensuring that areas of risk are identified and agreed priorities delivered
• Interferes to stop any unsafe behavior/condition

• Bachelor in Engineering
• Experience in Factories in the food industry in a multinational environment
• 5-7 years of experience
• Excellent command of English language (Written/Spoken)
• Excellent command of MS Office Apps
• Should show Leadership & Management Skills
